Super Food Chili

I recently found a fun blog about cooking with a crock pot- www.crockpot365.blogspot.com. The author has blogged about many interesting crock pot meals. While scrolling though them, I was drawn to one for sweet potato chili. Perhaps the unexpected combination of ingredients attracted my attention: sweet potatoes, red bell pepper, kidney beans, and orange juice are a few of the super foods included in the chili.

As promised on the blog, the flavors blended beautifully in this unusual soup. It was spicy and satisfying. I served grated Cheddar and cornbread on the side. I will be making this again.


  1. This was very good and very filling after only one bowl--it's the kind of food that makes you feel kind of full just thinking about it. It strikes me as an ideal "healthy and easy" dish.

  2. you know Lindsay would cringe at the mayo and salmon dish, but it sounds yummy to me, as does this super food chilli!
